Position Overview
Guild Associates is seeking a Business Development Engineer with a background in Military Programs. This role combines technical expertise with strategic business development skills to help identify, evaluate, and pursue new commercial opportunities in the military sector. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and R&D teams to drive growth and bring innovative technologies to market.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Strategy
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and potential partnerships.
  • Support development and execution of growth strategy.
Sales & Proposal Development
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and project scopes of work.
  • Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and pricing strategies.
  • Deliver presentations and technical content for customer meetings, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Track sales performance metrics and pipeline progress in coordination with the Business Director.
Technical & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering teams to translate customer requirements into feasible technical solutions.
  • Participate in the commercialization of new technologies, providing input on process design, scale-up, and field implementation.
  • Contribute to other business units as needed in both business development and engineering capacities, leveraging technical knowledge to support company-wide growth.

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in process engineering, technical sales, or business development.
Skills & Attributes
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance technical depth with commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in proposal writing, forecasting, and CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to travel (~15–25%) for customer visits, conferences, and site support.
